Man from Stoke-on-Trent charged after fatal crash near Middlewich

A man from Stoke-on-Trent is due in court next month in relation to a fatal crash near Middlewich in December 2024.

Adam Boulton, 34, of Essington Way, Tunstall, has been charged with dangerous driving and causing a death by dangerous driving as well as drink driving.

Boulton has been released on bail and is due at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Monday 14 July.

Boulton was driving a grey Range Rover Velar which was involved in a crash with a white Vauxhall Corsa on 12 December at around 5:30pm on the A54, Holmes Chapel Road, in Sproston.

Paula Chadwick, 52, who was driving the Corsa, sustained fatal injuries and passed away on the same day at the Royal Stoke University Hospital.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "Adam Boulton has been charged with causing a death by dangerous driving, dangerous driving, and drink driving.

"The 36-year-old of Essington Way, Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, has been released on bail and is set to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Monday 14 July."
