Four men have been arrested after a man found with stab wounds died in Stoke-on-Trent this morning (22 July).

Police and paramedics were called to Buccleuch Road, Normacot, to reports of a man in cardiac arrest.

The man was found in an alleyway with serious injuries and sadly nothing could be done to save him.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "Four men, aged 20, 23, 26 and 45, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

"Cordons are in place in the Normacot area while we carry out enquiries.

Paramedics administered advanced life support but the man was confirmed dead at the scene (Nub News).

"There will be an increased police presence in the area, including high-visibility patrols to offer reassurance and support the community. Anyone who has any concerns is encouraged to speak to an officer.

"Residents who live on Buccleuch Road, Chaplin Road, Windsor Avenue and Hamilton Road are urged to check CCTV and doorbell footage between 10pm on Sunday (21 July) and 1am today (Monday 22 July).
