Man charged with 12 offences following a series of reported robberies in one day

Staffordshire Police have named a man charged with 12 offences following a series of reported robberies and burglaries on the same day in Stoke-on-Trent.
Joshua Woolley, 31, of Stoke-on-Trent, has been charged with:
- Three counts of robbery
- Three counts of possessing a knife in a public place
- Assault by beating of an emergency worker
- Common assault of an emergency worker
- Theft from a shop
- Burglary
- Driving while disqualified
- Using a motor vehicle without third party insurance
It comes after Staffordshire Police received reports of a series of alleged robberies and burglaries on Thursday (23 October).
Officers were called to Elmsmere Road in Abbey Hulton at 3.15pm following reports of a robbery.
Around ten minutes later, Staffordshire Police received a report of a robbery at a nearby petrol station on Ruxley Road, Bucknall.
Then, shortly before 3.35pm, officers responded to a report of a theft at TK Maxx on Foundry Street, Hanley.
Mr Woolley appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Saturday (25 October) and has been remanded ahead of his next appearance at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 24 November.
