Man charged after £1k-worth of cocaine seized

A 25-year-old man has been charged after Staffordshire Police seized around £1k-worth of cocaine in Stoke-on-Trent.
Liman Demiri, of Stoke-on-Trent, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A – cocaine, driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence, using a motor vehicle on a road / public place without third party insurance and two counts of assault by beating.
It comes after officers stopped a car in Penkhull on Wednesday (22 October) and seized around £1k-worth of cocaine, cash and a suspected drugs line phone.
Mr Demiri has been remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Friday 24 October).
