Man arrested following stabbing in Stoke which left another man in a 'critical condition'

Staffordshire Police have arrested a man today (20 June) after another man was stabbed in Stoke-on-Trent on Sunday.

Police received reports of a man, in his 30s, being stabbed on Waterloo Road, Cobridge, at 10pm on 18 June.

Just before 2.30am this morning, a 25-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent. 

The victim, a man in his 30s, was rushed to hospital by paramedics (West Midlands Ambulance Service).

He remains in custody and inquiries are ongoing. 

The victim was taken to hospital by paramedics and he remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition.
