Man arrested following knifepoint robbery at shop in Stoke-on-Trent

A man has been arrested following a knifepoint robbery at a shop in Stoke-on-Trent.

Police were called to Londis on Abbots Road, Abbey Hulton, at 9.50am on 11 January after a masked man went inside with a knife and took money from the tills.

Since then, officers have been trawling through CCTV at the scene and carrying out enquiries.

A 53-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of robbery.

He has since been bailed with conditions while the investigation continues.
