Man arrested after woman suffers 'serious burns' in Stoke-on-Trent house fire

A man has been arrested after a house fire in Stoke-on-Trent over the weekend.

Police and firefighters were called to a house fire at Eagle Street, Hanley, at around 11.15am on Saturday 6 January.

Firefighters rescued one woman from the property who was taken to hospital with serious burns.

A 47-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent has been arrested on suspicion of arson (Nub News).
