Man arrested after 150 cannabis plants found in Stoke-on-Trent house

A man has been arrested after 150 cannabis plants were found inside a house in Stoke-on-Trent.
Officers from Staffordshire Police were called to a terraced house on Harley Street, Hanley, in the early hours of Wednesday 26 March after a group of men were seen running out of the property with drugs.
Forensics were at the scene later on Wednesday morning and officers removed 150 cannabis plants, a sword and an axe from the property.
A 49-year-old man from Albania was arrested and released on conditional bail whilst the investigation continues.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "We were called to an address near Botteslow Street, Hanley, at 1:20am on Wednesday (26 March) after a group of men were seen running out of the property with drugs.
"Officers attended the scene and seized 150 cannabis plants, a sword and an axe.
"A 49-year-old man, from Albania, has been arrested on suspicion of producing a cannabis plant.
"He has since been released on conditional police bail whilst our enquiries continue."
