Man and 13-year-old boy arrested following assault in Stoke-on-Trent

A man, 50, and a boy, 13, have been arrested after another man was assaulted in Stoke-on-Trent.

Staffordshire Police were called to Leek Road, Abbey Hulton at 2.20am on Monday (30 March) following reports of an injured man.

Officers were joined at the scene by colleagues from the West Midlands Ambulance Service.

The victim was taken to hospital and Staffordshire Police have said "his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing at this time".

A 50-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 – wounding with intent.

A 13-year-old boy, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 – grievous bodily harm with intent.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "They have been bailed with conditions whilst our investigation continues.

"We are appealing for anyone with any information that might help our investigation to contact us. Call 101, quoting incident 36 of 30 March, or use Live Chat on our website.
