Two lanes of the M6 are closed on the southbound carriageway following a crash involving a lorry between junctions 14 and 13.

Lanes 1 and 2 remain closed but lanes 3 and 4 have now reopened.

Drivers are told to expect severe delays of over 60 minutes while work to recover the lorry begins.

Earlier today National Highways said all emergency services, including Staffordshire Police, had been in attendance after a lorry left the carriageway. The motorway was closed on the southbound carriageway for two hours from just before 4:30am.

National Highways said: "Lane 1 and 2 are now closed on the M6 in Staffordshire southbound between J14 (Stafford) and J13 (Dunston) for recovery of a lorry involved in an earlier collision."
