A shop in Longton has introduced a new ice cream parlour and sweet shop after a week-long makeover.

Raymond McFarlane and Debbie Birchall-McFarlane opened Bombs R Us at Longton Exchange in summer 2024 and have now introduced a new ice cream parlour on the ground floor.

Now known as 'Pamperlicious', the shop's bath bombs, skin care items and gift sets are now upstairs with extended ranges.

Raymond said: "We just want to bring more to the town. People like ice cream and there is not much like this around here aside from around the corner at the market which is not open all the time.

"We decided to do a three-month makeover in seven days, knocking the walls down and rebuilding them so it has been busy."

The Nibbles & Dreams sweet shop and ice cream parlour on the ground floor has a new seating area and there is also a hair braiding salon at the rear.

Raymond added: "We now have the salon at the back and the bath bomb shop upstairs which gives us the opportunity to be able to bring in more stuff such as bathroom towels, makeup and other bits to add to our ranges.

"The reaction has been very good, the honeycomb ice cream seems to have been the most popular so far.

"We have had lots of new customers and new faces compared to when we were just a bath bomb shop which is a bit more niche.

"It's picking up here in Longton. It's slow but it is getting better. Mostly people still have the thought that there is nothing down here but there are lots of different businesses here."

The shop is open six days a week Monday-Saturday.
