A local woman has been charged following a flat fire in Newcastle-under-Lyme this week.

Natalie Johnston, 29, from Newcastle-under-Lyme, is due to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 7 November charged with arson.

It comes after police and fire crews were called to an address on Dunkirk on Tuesday (5 September).

The fire was extinguished by Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and no-one was injured.
