A man from Stoke-on-Trent has been arrested after a woman was threatened with a knife in the city.

Just before 10am on Monday (13 November), police received a report of a man with a knife inside an address on Old Road, Barlaston.

The man surrendered the weapon when officers turned up at the scene.

The victim, a woman in her 50s, was uninjured.

A 58-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place.

He has since been released on conditional police bail while enquiries continue.
