Fire crews called to Burslem following reports of large blaze

Fire crews are currently at a scene on Scotia Road, Burslem, following reports of a large blaze.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service is advising people to avoid the area to allow firefighters to deal with the ongoing incident.

A spokesperson said: "Crews from Burslem, Hanley, Sandyford, Longton, Leek and Newcastle are currently working to contain the fire at the scene. A water carrier from Cheadle is also in the area.

"Everyone is currently accounted for and no-one is inside."
