Leek Building Society has installed a new defibrillator outside Cheadle Primary School & Kindergarten.

This comes as part of the building society's pledge to install 100 new defibrillators across Staffordshire, Cheshire, Derbyshire and Shropshire.

Their commitment to install the 100 units was driven by the fact that access to defibrillators can make a significant difference in emergency situations, potentially saving lives.

Leek Building Society's Cheadle branch is located on Cheadle's High Street, not far from where the new defibrillator is situated.

"It's great to see the newly installed defibrillator outside Cheadle Primary School," said Lynne Ransome, Branch Manager at Leek Building Society's Cheadle branch. "Not only will this new AED unit provide support to staff, schoolchildren and local residents, it'll also benefit local football teams and neighbouring schools using the adjacent fields."
