'Let's just get up and do it': Meet the local furniture shop cleaning up a Stoke-on-Trent town
By Liana Snape 7th May 2026
A team of staff from a family-run furniture shop are helping to clean up a Stoke-on-Trent town.
Owners and staff at TS Domestics in Tunstall, have been leading regular clean-ups in the town over the last two years in a bid to rejuvenate the area and strengthen community pride.
The project first began in October 2024, and the group now aims to carry out weekly clean-up sessions regardless of weather conditions.
Curtis Peters, of TS Domestics, said: "We could sit here all day and point fingers.
"Rather than sit here and say whose fault it is, let's just get up and do it.
"It takes a couple of hours of our time once a week and the difference we make is incredible."
TS Domestics are frequently joined by volunteer members of the public as they pick litter, tidy weeds and remove graffiti from around Tunstall.
