More weather warnings have been raised for Stoke-on-Trent, as the snowy and icy conditions continue

Put in place by the Met Office, the first yellow alert, for ice, is in place from midnight on Tuesday 6 January until 10am on Wednesday 7 January.

"Icy patches overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning could lead to some disruption," it said.

It also warned of "icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths".

There is also a yellow warning for snow in place from 6pm on Thursday 8 January to 12pm Friday 9 January.

The Met Office said: "Storm Goretti likely to bring heavy snow leading to disruption and difficult travelling conditions."

They warned of possible travel delays and explained that "power cuts may occur and other services, such as mobile phone coverage, may be affected".
