Japanese restaurant set to open at Stoke-on-Trent's Goods Yard

A new Japanese restaurant is set to become the latest business to open in Stoke-on-Trent's Goods Yard.
Panko & Sushi will officially open on the ground floor of the apartment building on Friday 13 March.
The eatery, which also has branches in Macclesfield and Bury, will serve a range of dishes including katsu curries, ramen, bao buns, teriyaki dishes and "high quality, affordable sushi".
Panko & Sushi was founded by entrepreneur Edward Cayton, who has 27 years of experience in the hospitality industry and has previously opened Zumuku Sushi restaurants across Cheshire and Greater Manchester.
He said: "The concept of the brand is high quality food at an affordable price and I feel Stoke is a good fit because it's missing this type of cuisine.
"Capital & Centric's vision to restore the area is also something that I believe in."
The restaurant is located at Goods Yard in Stoke, a project delivered by social impact developer Capital & Centric, to bring 174 homes, new workspaces, food spots, and a public square to Stoke-on-Trent.
Panko & Sushi will be joining Cotton, a cafe, and property advisor Avison Young which are already located on the site.
As well as "high quality" food, another priority for the restaurant is creating an enjoyable and "authentic" Japanese experience for customers.
Ed added: "When you step inside, it makes you feel like you're not in Stoke. Instead, it is like stepping onto a Japanese street.
"We've got huge graffiti on the walls, and decorations like the Japanese bridge to give diners an authentic feel of Japan and Asia."
To mark the opening, Panko & Sushi are offering a range of deals including a student 'meal deal' and 30 per cent off all menu items until the end of March.
Panko & Sushi will officially open at Unit Two, Goods Yard, Stoke on Friday 13 March.
