Investigation launched following 'sudden death' of man at Stoke-on-Trent church

Staffordshire Police have launched an investigation following the 'sudden death' of a man in Stoke-on-Trent.

Police and paramedics were called to Stoke Minster, Glebe Street, at around 2pm, after a man suffered a cardiac arrest in the grounds of the church.

Sadly, the man died at the scene.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "We're working to establish the circumstances leading up to his death. We're currently treating the death as unexplained and no suspicious circumstances have been found at this stage.

"Anyone with information is asked to get in touch by calling 101, quoting incident 337 of 20 June or by messaging us using Live Chat on our website."
