Fresh plans have been put forward for 14 brand-new bungalows on a vacant school site in Stoke-on-Trent.
D B Developments has resubmitted a planning application for the "erection of 14 detached bungalows and formation of a new access road off Marychurch Road and alterations of existing footpath".
A planning application for the same development was refused by Stoke-on-Trent City Council in November 2023, after concerns were raised about privacy and the loss of biodiversity.
This week, fresh plans have been submitted for the former site of Marychurch C of E Primary School on Piggott Grove in Bucknall, which closed in 2004 before being demolished in 2022.
According to the plans, ten of the detached bungalows would be two-bedroom and the remaining four would be three-bedroom.
An updated Planning Statement says: "It is proposed to provide affordable homes, to meet the needs and aspirations of the existing and future communities.
"The site can provide easy access to jobs, shops, and transport services by all sections of the community.
"The site can provide a healthy, safe, attractive, active, well-designed and well- maintained environment."
The full planning application can be viewed here.
