Plans have been submitted to Stoke-on-Trent City Council to transform a former bank in Tunstall into seven brand-new flats.

117-199 High Street, Tunstall, was formerly a Co-operative Bank but the site is now vacant.

The applicant, Mr Aamar Iqbal, has applied for permission to transform the site into two one-bedroom and five two-bedroom flats.

Ten cycle spaces would also be created for residents.

Plans have been submitted to transform the former bank into seven new flats (Nub News).

A design and access statement, submitted as part of the application, states: "The proposal will largely unaffect the appearance of the building from the High Street, with the only significant external alteration being the making good of the frontage, including the windows, doors and signage area."

A decision is expected on these plans in the coming months.
