Former Royal Stafford factory shop to reopen under new owners

A factory shop in Stoke-on-Trent that shut after the collapse of Royal Stafford is reopening under the new factory owners.
TG Green & Co, which owns striped kitchenware brand Cornishware, replaced the old Royal Stafford signs today (29 July) ahead of the opening of its seconds shop next week.
The Burslem shop promises Cornishware products at 30% off compared to first quality prices, alongside a "limited selection" of Royal Stafford ceramics "while stocks last".
The shop will open its doors on Tuesday 5 August and will be open to the public Tuesday to Saturday, 9am–4pm.

TG Green & Co says there are no plans to reopen the cafe at present, which was previously based inside the shop.
Managing director of TG Green & Co, Charles Rickards, said: "We're thrilled to be opening our new Seconds Shop here in Stoke-on-Trent – the heart of British ceramics."
"We know how much people treasure Cornishware in their kitchens and homes, and this is a great way to offer customers exceptional value while supporting British manufacturing."
To celebrate the launch on 5 August, TG Green & Co says the first 10 customers through the door will each receive a free Cornishware goodie bag.
The seconds shop will sell Cornishware seconds products– pieces that don't quite meet the rigorous standards for first-quality stock but are still fully functional.
TG Green & Co, owner of the Cornishware Brand, took over the Royal Overhouse Manufactory site in Burslem in March after Royal Stafford collapsed into liquidation.
