Firefighters tackle accidental blaze at property off busy Stoke-on-Trent road

Firefighters attended an accidental house fire in Blurton, Stoke-on-Trent on Sunday, which was the result of a faulty freezer.

Crews from Hanley, Longton and Newcastle were called to an address off Trentham Road, Blurton, just after 9.15pm on Sunday 28 May.

On arrival, the property was well-alight and the family were evacuated safely.

Thankfully no-one was injured.

Fire crews from Longton, Hanley and Newcastle, as well as Staffordshire Police, all attended the scene (Nub News).

Following an investigation into the cause of the fire, it was deemed to be accidental as a result of a faulty freezer.

Crews left the scene at 4.50pm on Monday (29 May).
