Firefighters were called to a shop on fire in Stoke on Trent last night (Tuesday 24 March).

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service crews were called just after 9pm yesterday to a shop on King Street, Fenton, following reports of a fire.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Fire and Rescue service said: "Three crews used breathing apparatus and used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire."

Nobody was reported injured and the cause of the fire was deemed accidental, by an electrical fault.

Crews remained at the scene to dampen down hot spots before leaving at around 11.30pm.
