Firefighters called to garage fire which spread to a house in Stoke-on-Trent

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service extinguished a garage fire which spread to a house in Stoke-on-Trent today (Monday 27 April).

Firefighters went to Caspian Way in Trentham following a call just after 12.30pm.

They found an attached garage well alight before they "safely extinguished" the fire.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "A number of appliances and our aerial ladder platform were in attendance.

"The flames were safely extinguished and no-one was injured.

"An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing."
