Police are appealing for information after a fire was set deliberately inside the toilets of a fast-food restaurant in Stoke-on-Trent.

At around 4.50pm on 8 December 2023, two girls (aged around 16 or 17), went inside McDonalds on Parliament Row in Hanley.

They went into the toilets and left after the fire alarm started going off. The eatery was evacuated after smoke was seen coming from the toilets.

Both girls were white and about 5ft 7in tall. 

One of them was wearing a black jacket, a black Nike top and white shoes. The other one was wearing a black jacket and black shoes.

Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time - Call 101 or message using LiveChat on the website.
