Fifth man arrested on suspicion of murder after man dies in Stoke-on-Trent

A fifth man has been arrested after a man died in Normacot, Stoke-on-Trent, last week.

Staffordshire Police launched an investigation after being called by the ambulance service to reports that a man was in cardiac arrested on Buccleuch Road at 12.50am on Monday 22 July.

Thapelo Jali, aged 21, was found in an alleyway with serious injuries and sadly nothing could be done to save him.

A 22-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of murder (Nub News).

Specialist officers continue to support Thapelo's family, who have asked for privacy at this difficult time.

The four men charged with murder last Friday are due to appear at Stafford Crown Court on 11 October.
