A popular fast-food restaurant has submitted plans for a brand-new branch in Stoke-on-Trent.

McDonalds has applied for permission to install 12 signs on the former Middletons store on Jasper Square Retail Park, in Tunstall.

Middletons ceased trading in January 2023 and McDonalds are now proposing to operate from the building, if plans are approved by the city council.

McDonalds has applied for permission to install new signage on the former Middletons building (Nub News).

A cover letter, submitted as part of the application, states: "The size, design and materials of the proposed signage is considered to be appropriate to the site and the surrounding commercial context.

"The proposed building signage will largely replace the existing, with the exception of an additional sign to the western elevation. The roof-mounted signs are similar in scale to those that are already installed on the unit.

"The proposed signage is in character with the modern aesthetic of Jasper Square Retail Park which comprises a mix of retail and food and drink uses including the adjacent 'Buffet Fever' restaurant."

The full planning application can be viewed here.
