Drivers can expect up to 60 minutes of delays between J15 and J16 (Wiki Commons).

Drivers are being warned of long delays on the M6 northbound this afternoon after traffic was briefly stopped.

Motorists can expect up to 60 minutes of delays between J15 Stoke-on-Trent and J16 at Crewe, according to National Highways.

Traffic is now moving, but the J16 north exit slip remains closed.
