Hanley Park Colour Runner raises thousands for Caudwell Children

An annual colour run at a Stoke-on-Trent park has raised thousands of pounds for Caudwell Children.
The Caudwell Children Colour Runner took place on Saturday (19 July) with over £7,500 raised so far for the charity to support disabled and autistic children.
A total of 169 participants ran, walked or wheeled 5km through Hanley Park at the event while covered in environmentally friendly paints.
The event saw people of all ages come together to raise vital funds to provide a range of practical and emotional support services for children and young people.
Kathryn Turner-Morgan, challenges manager at Caudwell Children said "We were incredibly excited to bring back the Caudwell Children Colour Runner for our 25th Anniversary and to celebrate Stoke on Trent's Centenary, we couldn't have asked for a better day.
"Despite the weather, 169 children and their families came rain or shine to celebrate Caudwell Children with 5K of colour explosions.
"It was incredible to see so many children smiling and laughing throughout the event! Be sure to keep your eyes out for 2026."

This year's event formed part of Stoke-on-Trent's Centenary celebrations and also commemorated Caudwell Children's 25th anniversary.
Cllr Steve Watkins, Lord Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent, said: "The Colour Runner was a fantastic event to attend and a brilliant addition to our Centenary celebrations. I am proud it has formed part of the celebrations this year and I want to thank Caudwell Children for organising it.
"Caudwell Children do incredible work supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities and the funds raised will go towards supporting more of this amazing work. I look forward to seeing this success continue at future Colour Runner events."
The event was sponsored by Ken Jervis and Synectics Solutions.
