A cat lover has come up with the purr-fect solution for owners of our four-legged furry friends.

Kim Rawlinson, who lives near Alsager, has launched a pet-sitting service for animal lovers when they go away.

For she says most cats like their own territory and would prefer to stay inside their own homes than go elsewhere.

"Most cats are creatures of habit and don't like disruption or change, preferring to remain in an environment that they are used to," says Kim.

"They like their own territory and many don't like to be moved around."

And Kim should know for the cat-lover has 12 of her own ranging from non-pedigree to pedigree and short to long-haired.

Kim launched Fantasipaws Cat Sitting Services at the end of May and has notched up qualifications on the subject.

She has just passed a Level 3 Feline Care, Behaviour and Welfare Award Animal on top of qualifications in psychology and pet behaviour.

Kim added: "I am DBS checked, qualified in Animal Psychology and Pet Behaviour, which hopefully gives owners the peace of mind that not only their kitties but their home as well, have been left in safe and capable hands.

It offers owners the choice. if they feel a cattery may not be the best place for their cats.

"I am an expert in feather teasers, furry mice and especially at giving cuddles, whilst respecting the cat's own personal preferences.

"I tailor a service to exactly meet the individual needs of the cat."

And she says one of the services she can offer is daily photos or videos so owners know their cat is happy and well.

Kim can be contacted at Fantasipaws' Facebook page here and their website here .
