Over 70 men from in and around the Stoke-on-Trent area have stripped off for a naked calendar photoshoot in aid of a prostate cancer charity.

The Caverswall Courage calendar will be officially launched at an event at The Auctioneers Arms on 4 November at 7pm.

The idea for the charity photoshoot came about when Rachel Hulme was in search for a unique twist for a still life drawing class.

As she attempted to persuade one of the locals to pose for the class, the idea evolved into a calendar showcasing the "raw and authentic beauty" of 71 local men in support of the fight against prostate cancer.

The Caverswall Courage calender will be officially launched at an event at The Auctioneers Arms on 4 November (Nub News).

Rachel told Stoke Nub News: "Prostate cancer is a significant health concern that has touched the lives of many in our community.

"In response to this, the proceeds from the sale of the Caverswall Courage Naked Calendar will be donated to a prostate cancer charity.

"This endeavour is close to our hearts, as several of our local men have faced a prostate cancer diagnosis or are currently in recovery from this challenging disease."

The launch event promises to be a night of celebration, live entertainment and an opportunity to meet some of the brave participants.

Calendars will also be available to purchase for £15 on the night.

Rachel concluded: "A massive thank you to Sam, Liv, Paul Colis, Paul Sheldon and the whole Auctioneers Arms team for their help, and to all the brave men for taking part - it's great to see the community coming together to support this fantastic cause".
