Brand-new family-run 'community butchers' set to open in Forsbrook

A brand-new family-run butchers and farm shop is set to open this month in Forsbrook, Staffordshire Moorlands.

Ran by Matt Dudley and his partner Jazz Barnett, from Dilhorne, Dudley's Butchers aim to become the heart of the community and bring a much-needed butchers to the local area.

Matt told Stoke Nub News: "I've been a butcher for years but always wanted my own place and living in Dilhorne, it was a prime opportunity so we just went for it.

"We've had some good feedback on Facebook already and at night when people are walking past, people come in and have a look around."

The Cheadle Road venue will have a farm shop as well as a butchers (Jazz Barnett).

The Cheadle Road venue will have a farm shop as well as a butchers, which will sell a range of locally-sourced produce including cheeses from Staffordshire Cheese Company (based in Cheddleton), cooked meats, pies, and Cottage Delight jams, chutneys and sauces.

Jazz added, "We're nearly there, we've only got a few more things to be done and then we can open up, we're just excited!

"We're getting to know everyone in the community and it's like a little family, people keep coming back then because they trust you."

All produce on sale will be locally-sourced (Sarah Garner).

Dudley's Butchers will open its doors on 25 March.
