Body found in search for missing Newcastle-under-Lyme man David

The body of a man who has been missing since 9 May has been discovered in North Staffordshire.
Officers from Staffordshire Police believe the body to be missing 59-year-old David from Newcastle-under-Lyme. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
Staffordshire Police say the body was found close to Lymedale Business Park on Wednesday afternoon (28 May).
It comes after the force released new images of David last week in a renewed effort to find him.
Officers have thanked the public for coming forward with information and sharing appeals.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: We can sadly confirm that a body has been found in the search for missing 59-year-old David, from Newcastle-under-Lyme.
"Officers have been looking for him since he was reported missing on Friday 9 May.
"Sadly, a body was discovered near to Lymedale Business Park, Newcastle-under-Lyme, on Wednesday afternoon (28 May).
"We believe the man to be missing David. We are not treating the death as suspicious and a file has been prepared for HM Coroner.
"We'd like to thank everyone who has come forward with information as part of the efforts to try and find David, as well as those who shared the appeals for information."
