Black History Month celebrates the role of women in our communities

*Our Black History Month competition has now concluded*
This October, Black History Month will focus on honouring and celebrating the achievements of black women.
The theme, 'Saluting Our Sisters', highlights the exceptional achievements of black women and their pioneering role in shaping history and inspiring change.
Black History Month (1-31 October 2023) will celebrate and shine a light on black women who have made invaluable contributions to all aspects of society, including literature, politics, business, sport, music, fashion, academia and healthcare.

The Co-op is supporting Black History month and offering the chance to win a £200 gift card for a local black cause of your choice, plus a £200 gift card for yourself.

The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery is hosting a Black History Month celebration on Saturday 7 October.
