Another set of temporary traffic lights is set to be installed on a busy road in Stoke-on-Trent this week.

Two-way lights will be in place on Weston Road (near the junction for Leason Road) on 11 and 12 April.

They will be in place to allow Openreach to carry out 'utility repair and maintenance works'.

An Openreach spokesperson said: "One of our contractors will be carrying out local roadworks to repair blocked underground ducts, which are due to start tomorrow and end on Thursday. Two-way temporary traffic lights will be in place in one location, where a bus stop will also be briefly suspended, along with the use of 'stop' and 'go' boards further along the road.

"While we always strive to complete necessary roadworks as quickly as possible, we'd advise drivers, pedestrians and bus users to plan ahead and consider leaving some extra time for their journey while the works and road reinstatement are carried out. We thank them for their understanding."
