Bayside Beauty Clinic, an aesthetics clinic specialising in skincare and laser hair removal, opened its clinic in Hanley in 2020.

The clinic offers a comprehensive range of aesthetic and wellness services, including laser hair removal, facials, skin treatments for acne, pigmentation and fine lines, dermal fillers, IV drips and private blood testing.

Their ethos is simple, to provide tailored treatments for "any community, any gender, any skin type".

Owner, Umehra, said: "As a medical professional, I have trained with some of the world's leading experts and am proud to bring advanced, evidence-based treatments to patients here in Stoke-on-Trent.

"From medical aesthetics and skin laser treatments to IV wellbeing therapies, every service we offer is guided by safety, clinical excellence, and results you can trust."

Nurse and advanced skin practitioner, Umehra, first started the business in an outbuilding in her back garden in 2018.

Since then, the business has grown, with Umehra and her husband Humad opening the Hanley clinic in 2020 and a second clinic in Walsall in 2023.

There is now a team of four trained therapists who support Umehra in the clinic.

In order to run the business, Umerha has undertaken two years of self-guided study into dermatology and skin, a master's in clinical practice, five NVQs and has worked at both Royal Stoke University Hospital and Stafford Hospital as a nurse practitioner.

The clinic specialises in laser hair removal and has a 100 per cent success rate since the business opened in 2018.

Umehra explained: "We have more than one laser hair removal device because there are different follicle types, and we cater to every single skin type.

"We are offering a really tailored treatment."

One customer, Ashleigh, explained that they have been very happy with their hair removal results.

Ashleigh said: "I came in for laser first and I'm having electrolysis now there are less hairs. The quality of the service has been top notch."

The clinic also treats patients with a range of skin problems including rosacea, pigmentation, acne and psoriases.

Dan, who visited the clinic for help with his rosacea, said: "They really looked after me and gave me some magic cream and loads of different treatments to help me boost my confidence.

"I really recommend Bayside to anyone."

Botox and some facial fillers are also available at Bayside Beauty, and Umehra stressed that they only offer fillers with "minimal risk and minimal downtime".

One customer, Umehra, who had bad experiences with lip filler at another clinic previously, which left her with heavy bruising, said: "I came across this place and I was a bit hesitant coming through the door, but I am so glad I did. I'm a regular now.

"I always feel satisfied with the service I get here and the aftercare is amazing."

She added: "I think Umehra always puts herself in the customer's shoes."

Another service that is offered at Bayside Beauty is IV drips, which are regularly used by customers to improve tiredness and overall wellness.

Umehra also explained that several cancer patients have come into the clinic for the vitamin C drip.

Claire, a recent customer, said: "I'm having vitamin C because I have breast cancer, and cancer doesn't like vitamin C so it helps get rid of bad cells."

She added: "After a four week course of vitamin C my cancer markers dropped by 20 per cent.

"I would definitely recommend it.

"Umehra has been amazing and all of her staff really look after me well. I've chosen the right place."

In addition to the skin health services, Bayside offers a wide range of private blood tests with reports provided by an accredited pathology laboratory showing clearly marked results.

These results help support the creation of tailored IV therapies based on individual needs.

The team attributes their success to their thorough consultation process, high-end devices, tailored treatment plans and close monitoring of progress.

Humad, co-owner and Umehra's husband, said: "Our clinic culture is to always go above and beyond.

"Our clients trust us to take care of them, and its this trust that drives me and the team to continue our research into new services.

"We are willing to invest our time, energy and money into discovering new treatments and technologies that are backed by science, are safe, and stress tested.

"We have lots more to come this year and can't wait to role out the industries latest innovations in the coming months."

Every customer receives a consultation to assess their individual needs and to work out the most effective treatment for the individual.

Umehra said: "We orient our offering based around results to make sure we're getting the best possible results for our clients.

"If something is out of our scope, we don't just sell them a package just for the sake of making some money, we refer them to somewhere else which would be more effective for them."

She added: "We make sure that every person who leaves here is 100 per cent happy with our service.

"That is very important to us."
