A dementia specialist care village in Newcastle-under-Lyme, has been reaccredited the Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Quality Hallmark Award for its exceptional standards of end-of-life care, achieving the prestigious platinum rating.

Belong Newcastle-under-Lyme's reaccreditation by the GSF comes with a perfect score, which demonstrates their commitment to providing an outstanding level of care to residents.

The report noted the "connection and independence" throughout the village, and commended the villages' staff in caring for residents living with dementia, as well as the specialist support offered through the village's Admiral Nurse service.

The assessment also praised the compassion and support the Belong team provides for residents and their families, especially in their final days.

It noted how staff prioritise "comfort and dignity," and always strive to ensure residents wishes are heard and acted upon, supporting them and their families in their final moments and beyond.
