A Stoke-on-Trent taxi firm has launched a discount for NHS "heroes".

Magnum Taxis is offering NHS workers 15 per cent off all taxi journeys in recognition of their "dedication" to the local community.

A spokesperson for Magnum Taxis said: "Mangum Taxis values the dedication of our NHS heroes."

They added: "NHS workers need reliable accessible taxis as their shifts vary from early mornings to late at night. They rely heavily on the taxi industry to get them from A to B."

In order to access the discount, NHS workers must download the app, register with their NHS email and use the code 'NHS15'.

Once NHS employment status has been verified, the code can be used an unlimited amount of times to unlock 15 per cent off each taxi journey.

Magnum Taxis feels that it is important to give back to the local community as a Stoke-on-Trent based firm.

A spokesperson for Magnum Taxis said: "We do a lot of community initiatives such as helping small charities with their parcel deliveries, this offer is just another way to give back to the people that are core to this city.

"We're always thinking of ways to give back to the community. If there are any suggestions, we're open to hearing them."

The taxi firm, which has operated in Stoke-on-Trent since 1984, has a fleet of 400 private hire cars, all driven by DBS checked drivers who are well-versed with popular destinations in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire.
