Are you a time-served Maintenance Engineer looking to join a forward-thinking company that invests in its people? My client is a leading automated distribution business with multiple sites across the UK, supplying major retailers and operating at the cutting edge of logistics technology.
The RoleAs a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer based at the Barton-under-Needwood site, youll be key in keeping the facilitys state-of-the-art automation systems running at peak performance. Youll handle a mix of planned preventative maintenance and reactive fault-finding, ensuring downtime is kept to an absolute minimum in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform reactive and planned maintenance on conveyors, sortation systems, packaging lines, and other automated equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
Ensure strict adherence to health & safety standards and company policies.
Support and deliver continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Collaborate closely with fellow engineers and operational teams to resolve issues quickly.
Time-served Engineer (apprenticeship trained or equivalent).
Experience in automated distribution, FMCG, food production, or general manufacturing.
Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills (PLC fault-finding experience is a bonus).
A proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work 12-hour day and night shifts
