300 North are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record in overseeing fire door programmes to lead a region-wide upgrade scheme across a portfolio of public sector buildings and educational facilities.

This freelance role involves managing a complex package of fire door replacements, remedials, and compliance works across approximately 80 live sites, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and in line with the latest regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all stages of a large-scale fire door upgrade project, from mobilisation through to completion
• Oversee multiple subcontractor teams delivering fire door installs and remedial works
• Maintain progress across numerous live sites simultaneously
• Ensure works are completed to specification and in accordance with BS 8214 and the Fire Safety Act
• Monitor H&S compliance, quality assurance, and documentation
• Report progress to senior stakeholders and ensure milestone targets are met
• Support completion of a smaller specialist package (fire dampers) within the wider scheme

Essential Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience managing fire door installation/remedial projects
• Strong background in fire compliance, passive fire protection, or building safety roles
• Enhanced DBS (current and valid)
• Able to manage multiple sites and subcontractors efficiently under tight deadlines with contactable references from recent, similar roles to support this
• Solid understanding of current fire door legislation, certification, and standards with contactable references from recent, similar roles to support this
