The Opportunity
An important and interesting opportunity has arisen to join the School of Life Sciences as Project Manager for the UKRI-funded E-Prep II project.
This interdisciplinary project brings together biologists, ecologists, economists, social scientists, statisticians and mathematicians from eight research organisations. You will also work closely with project partners, including agricultural experts, farmers and growers in the UK and internationally.
As Project Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating the delivery of project objectives and working directly with the PI, Professor James Bell. You will monitor progress, track milestones, organise team meetings and events, work with the steering group and provide administrative support, such as help creating data management plans, to ensure the project runs effectively.
Effective collaboration is central to the success of E-Prep II. You will help maintain strong working relationships across the project team and with external partners, supporting a shared vision and strategy.
The successful candidate will contribute to the organisation and impact of the E-prep II project by coordinating daily operations, tracking milestones, objectives and expenditure and working with industry partners and funding agencies.
You will have experience and or qualifications in project management and demonstrate effective organisational, budget management and communication skills.
While knowledge of the research area is not mandated, an interest in science would be advantageous, particularly applicants with a biological background.
Occasional travel to project meetings and events will be required.
