Job Title: Project Support Co-ordinator
Location: Stoke on Trent
Salary: 30-35,000 plus Benefits
My client, a leading provider of Heavy Haulage services require a Project Support Co-ordinator to play a key role to promote efficiency within their Project Management Team. The role will primarily focus on the engagement of key external bodies required to facilitate the movement of Abnormal Loads throughout the UK. You will work with a team Project Managers, coordinating, planning and taking action to streamline the processes associated with successful project execution. You will contribute to a culture that ensures projects are delivered safely, on time and to project budget.
Key Duties:
- Supporting the Project Team to ensure the timely and efficient execution of projects
- Organising third party resources to ensure route preparation is in place prior to Abnormal Load Movement.
- Typically liaising on a day-to-day basis with National Highways (road space), Police (Escorts), Councils (Road Closures, Street Furniture & Parking Restrictions), Utilities, Tree Surgeons and Traffic Management
- Regular communication with our existing Specialist Route Planner and Project Managers to ensure clear visibility on programme key dates and milestones.
- Identification and communication of risks associated with route feasibility and/or stakeholder concerns.
- Provide cover for Permit Application Process during annual leave/absence.

- Previous Abnormal Load route planning experience ideal but not essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Full driving licence
- Excellent IT skills- Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organisation skills.
- The ability to work as part of a team as well as under your own initiative.
- Open to travel, with occasional nights away when required to attend meetings
- MS Project experience (desirable)
