osition: Electrical Compliance Engineer Location: Suffolk Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week Salary: Circa £45,000 (depending on experience) + bonus + excellent benefitsThe Opportunity An established FMCG manufacturer in Suffolk is seeking an Electrical Compliance Engineer to ensure the site's electrical systems remain fully compliant with UK legislation. This role is ideal for a qualified electrician with manufacturing experience who wants to take ownership of electrical compliance across a busy production facility. Role Overview Reporting into the Automation Manager, you'll be part of the wider engineering team but will manage electrical compliance independently. The position involves both hands-on electrical work and oversight of contractors to ensure all technical activities meet current standards and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment across the site.
  • Carry out inspections, testing, and certification of electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure full compliance with UK legislation, safety standards, and site procedures.
  • Manage and oversee the quality of work carried out by contractors.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across engineering and operations to deliver projects effectively.
What We're Looking For
  • Fully qualified Electrician with proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • NVQ Level 3 or recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (preferred).
  • City & Guilds Inspection & Testing (2394 / 2395).
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and compliance in an industrial setting.
  • Proactive, detail-focused, and able to work independently.
