Job Description
Were seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Electrical Control Design Engineer to join a leading engineering company near Keele!
Youll play a key role in designing, developing, and supporting electrical control systems for pumping, water, and wastewater projects across the UK.
This exciting role would suit someone who enjoys variety, values day shifts with no weekends, and is looking to develop their career in a supportive and growing business offering up to £55,000 salary plus an excellent benefits package.
This is a Full-Time, Permanent position!
What youll be doing
- Produce schematic designs for client approval using Eplan and AutoCAD Electrical
- Create detailed documentation to ensure efficient manufacturing and compliance with specifications
- Liaise with clients and suppliers to deliver effective, economical design solutions
- Ensure designs comply with legislation, safety standards, and best practices
- Apply your knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, VSDs, and other intelligent control products
- Attend sites for commissioning, telemetry support, and technical troubleshooting
- Maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Hours
Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm (flexible)
Pay
£50,000 - £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Skills/Experience Required
- Proficiency in Eplan and/or AutoCAD Electrical for creating detailed electrical schematics
- Experience with VSDs (Variable Speed Drives) and soft start technology for motor control
- Understanding of HMIs (HumanMachine Interfaces) such as touchscreen control panels for system operation
- Panel design experience (assembly and wiring)
- Electrical Engineering qualifications (BTEC / ONC or equivalent)
- Familiarity with relevant legislation and safety standards
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Valid UK driving licence
