Bench Caster - Pottery

Location: ST4

Working schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:30am - 1:30pm

Rate of pay: £14.05ph

Contract type: Temporary for up to 6 months

Adecco are seeking a skilled and reliable Bench Caster to join our client's production team based in ST4. This role involves producing high-quality ceramic ware using slip casting techniques, working to established standards of quality, consistency, and efficiency.

This is a temporary position for possibly up to 6 months.

Key responsibilities:

• Bench casting ceramic items using moulds and clay
• Monitoring casting times to ensure consistent wall thickness and quality
• Safely emptying moulds and preparing cast items for finishing
• Inspecting cast ware for defects and reporting issues promptly
• Cleaning, maintaining, and storing moulds correctly
• Working to production targets while maintaining quality standards
• Following health & safety procedures at all times

Skills & Experience:

• Previous bench casting experience is essential
• Knowledge of slip casting techniques and ceramic processes
• Good attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Ability to work with repetitive tasks accurately
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and adapt to production requirements
