Area Manager - Day Shift Location: Uttoxeter Competitive Salary + Package + Leadership Opportunity + Shift Work Hours: 12-hour days, 3 on / 3 off 7:00am - 7:00pm

You're passionate about operational excellence and enjoy coaching teams in a busy bakery or food manufacturing environment. You take pride in keeping production lines running efficiently, developing high-performing teams, and embedding best practices across shifts.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in shift-based environments and managing shifts
- Strong engagement, communication, and people management skills
- Ability to manage long-service team members while introducing new practices
- Awareness of HACCP, IOSH, and food safety standards (training provided)
- Experience driving continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Knowledge of Food Manufacturing or FMCG
About the Role As Day Area Manager, you'll lead critical production lines, ensuring machinery reliability while developing and supporting a team of 25+. You'll coordinate across departments and manage internal and external stakeholders to deliver operational excellence.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading daily operations on creams and bakery production lines
- Managing machinery breakdowns and repairs (creamers, ZDIs, etc.)
- Leading, coaching, and developing a team of 25+ colleagues
- Engaging with Hygiene, NPD, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
- Driving continuous improvement and embedding operational best practices
- Ensuring compliance with HACCP, IOSH, and food safety standards
- Managing contractors and supporting operational audits
