Job Title: 6G TIG Welder Location: Brownhills Employment Type: Temp to Perm (Dayshift, with potential for Nightshift work) Pay Rate: Up to 17.50/hr
We are currently recruiting skilled 6G TIG Welders to join our team at our clients Brownhills site. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced 6G TIG Welder looking to work on high-quality coded welding projects across pipe, plate, and pressure components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out coded welding on pipe and plate using TIG, MIG, and Pulse MIG processes
- Perform TIG welding in 2G and 6G positions on pipe
- Work with stainless and carbon steel tubes (butt welds and fillets), as well as plate work
- Carry out positional TIG welding on pressure vessels, boilers, pressure parts, and superheater pipework
- Maintain quality and safety standards across all welding activities
What We're Looking For in a 6G TIG Welder:
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a 6G TIG Welder in a similar industrial or fabrication setting
- Proven competence in high-quality 6G TIG welding techniques
- Previous or current coding/qualifications (must be able to pass a trade test)
- Ability to complete tube-to-tube butt welds and meet X-ray, DPI, and MPI testing requirements
Working Hours (Dayshift):
- Monday to Thursday: 7:54 AM - 4:30 PM
- Friday: 7:54 AM - 1:30 PM
Overtime Rates:
- Monday to Friday: Time + 1/3
- Saturday: Time + 1/2
- Sunday: Double Time
Note: Night shift positions may be available following the successful completion of initial training on days.
