We at Work Lyf Group are recruiting for a Production Manager to join our client s team and take ownership of performance, safety, and leadership across key production areas.

What You ll Be Responsible For

As Production Manager, you ll report directly to the General Manager / Manufacturing Director and be accountable for:

• Leading Team Leaders, Cell Leaders, and Operatives with integrity and high personal standards
• Delivering key KPIs including Safety/EHS, OTIF, Direct Labour %, MM%, and Quality
• Championing Energy & Waste initiatives and driving continuous improvement
• Managing production schedules and bottlenecks to ensure seamless operations
• Investigating customer complaints and implementing permanent fixes
• Collaborating with Sales, Transport, Engineering, HR, and Quality teams to meet business goals

Health & Safety First

• Enforce and promote a strong EHS culture
• Maintain a clean, safe, and impressive working environment
• Uphold 5S and Clean as You Go standards

Leadership & People Management

• Be a visible and inspiring presence on the shop floor
• Mentor and support Supervisors and Cell Leaders
• Conduct team briefings, performance reviews, and disciplinary procedures
• Manage absence, holiday planning, and training development
• Ensure labour is deployed efficiently across all cells

Tools & Techniques You ll Use

• SIC (Short Interval Control)
• FDS/Scanning, Fourjaw, Quality Dashboards
• Skills Matrix and Training Booklets
• Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, TPM, RACI, Fool Proofing)
