Production Administrator - 18 Month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover)

Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

We're currently seeking an experienced Production Administrator to join a busy and well-established manufacturing business based in Newcastle-under-Lyme. This is a full-time, 18-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the production office, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, accurate order processing, and effective communication between departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the production office team.

  • Manage multiple inboxes and handle incoming correspondence.

  • Process and update despatch orders and production schedules.

  • Maintain accurate data and records in line with company procedures and data protection standards.

  • Use Sage to amend operational tasks, book in completed orders, complete stock transfers, and generate purchase orders.

  • Liaise with procurement, logistics, and planning teams to meet delivery deadlines.

  • Manage customer orders and delivery schedules to ensure a high level of service.

  • Support the team with general office duties and spreadsheet management.

  • Act as the point of contact for non-conformance reporting and compliance documentation.

Skills and Experience Required
  • Previous administrative experience within a manufacturing, production, or construction-related environment.

  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Sage.

  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with excellent attention to detail.

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Comfortable working to deadlines and managing multiple priorities.
