Production Administrator - 18 Month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover)
Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
We're currently seeking an experienced Production Administrator to join a busy and well-established manufacturing business based in Newcastle-under-Lyme. This is a full-time, 18-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the production office, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, accurate order processing, and effective communication between departments.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative and clerical support to the production office team.
Manage multiple inboxes and handle incoming correspondence.
Process and update despatch orders and production schedules.
Maintain accurate data and records in line with company procedures and data protection standards.
Use Sage to amend operational tasks, book in completed orders, complete stock transfers, and generate purchase orders.
Liaise with procurement, logistics, and planning teams to meet delivery deadlines.
Manage customer orders and delivery schedules to ensure a high level of service.
Support the team with general office duties and spreadsheet management.
Act as the point of contact for non-conformance reporting and compliance documentation.
Previous administrative experience within a manufacturing, production, or construction-related environment.
Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Sage.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with excellent attention to detail.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Comfortable working to deadlines and managing multiple priorities.
Professional, approachable, and confident when liaising with customers and colleagues.
Customer-focused with a proactive and solution-driven attitude.
